The period of 'Pitra Paksh', which is a time of the year that is reserved for paying obeisance to our departed ancestors, according to the Vedic calendar, will fall from September 26, through to October 10. 'Pitra Paksh', is a fifteen day period that occurs once in a year, during a waning period of the Moon and is commonly referred to as the 'Shraadhs'. Embarking upon any type of new beginning or auspicious work is prohibited during this period, as this is a time that is reserved exclusively for making offerings to dead souls. In essence, the result of any activity undertaken during this period, goes to the dead and there will be no benefit to the living.

Celebrity psychic and astrologer Inbaal Honigman presented her analysis of the astrological compatibility of the vice-presidential couple JD and Usha Vance, to the Irish Star, ahead of Vance’s 42nd birthday, which was on August 2.
Honigman observes that Mr and Mrs Vance possess, “Two of the strongest signs of the zodiac — Leo and Capricorn”, and hence “Don't really need to team up in order to succeed.” However, in Honigman’s opinion, “Regardless of their goals in life, the passion that they have for each other is the glue that holds the pair together.”

These predictions were mostly based on the coinciding of the Lion's Gate portal, a six planet, planetary parade and a solar eclipse. The Indian news channel WION, consulted astrologer Partha Bhattacharjee on the matter. Bhattacharjee said these events had little significance in astrology, whereas future events are determined by horoscopes and planetary transits. However, he did say that the world would go through a phase of political turbulence in the next few months, due to Saturn’s influence.

A Tarot deck based on the iconic rock band KISS, is to be launched soon. The complete set of cards and accompanying instructions has been named the ‘KISS Tarot Deck and Guidebook’, and is due for launch in mid-October by Insight Editions.
The 78 card deck has been created by Erica Davis and Aleksey Rico, and is based on imagery associated with the band. The deck’s Major Arcana has been named “The World Tour”, while the Minor Arcana is named “The Club Shows”. The set includes a 128 page guidebook structured like album liner notes.

An exhibition of 500 years of divinatory art will be on display till October in the halls of Morgan Library & Museum, New York, The event, named ‘Tarot! Renaissance Symbols, Modern Visions’ features art from two time periods referred to as, “Renaissance Symbols” and “Modern Visions”, respectively.
“Renaissance Symbols” relates to the origins of Tarot cards, while “Modern Visions” relates to how the Tarot has evolved in more modern times. Co-curator Joshua O’Driscoll had this to say about the exhibition, “We want to demonstrate that Tarot was, from its beginning, something that major artists were working on”.
An offer to connect with US Senator Mitch McConnell made by a psychic shop in Venice Beach, USA was met with outrage. The establishment, named The Original Venice Beach Psychic, reportedly advertised the offer through flyers distributed in the area.
Sen. McConnell has been hospitalised since June 14, and was briefly unconscious following a fall. The psychic’s offer was to allow clients to communicate remotely with the incapacitated McConnell through, “A 20 minute chat”.
According to this piece in Elle, the recent period between the solar eclipse on August 12 and partial lunar eclipse on August 28 is known as an “Eclipse Corridor”. Coincidentally, this period arrived on the final day of the 2026 Lion’s Gate portal. The article interprets this is as “A fertile time for shadow work”.

On display were exhibits such as a Tarot card series produced by the renowned artist Salvador Dalí. Attendees were also given a chance to win a set of Dalí Tarot cards.
Gen Zer journalist, Bianca Asare says that her belief in astrology is something that she shares with many others of her generation. She believes that “A willingness to experiment” makes people of this age group more open to concepts such as astrology.
Asare explains that she was spurred on to look at astrology with greater seriousness when her mother said, "You should find something to believe in".
