Adams is almost certain that Trump and Harris will be in an equally close battle with recounts called and even a potential retracted winner announced, adding, "From December 7, we start to get a sense that we might have a result. But the legal battles will be going on for weeks, and you will find that Trump's people just refuse to concede. The media will call it wrong. There will be recounts that may go to the Supreme Court. It could be dragging on as late as January 2025 in some electorates."

A new exhibit has opened at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles called Rising Signs: The Medieval Science of Astrology. This highlights how astrology in the middle ages was a scientifically minded pursuit. People gave it a lot of credence as a principle for understanding the passage of time, and the influence of the sun and moon and other planets on the body. It had much more to do with daily life: diet, medicine, activities that should be undertaken at a particular moment of the year.
The exhibit’s curator is Dr. Larisa Grollemond, the Getty’s assistant curator of manuscripts, who is also writing a book on medieval wellness practices. Dr. Grollemond said during this period, "Some consultation with astrological ideas, whether that meant a more in-depth analysis of someone’s sun sign and the time of year or their humours and their ailment – or it could be much more surface level: is this a good season to take medicine generally."
The exhibit has already attracted at least one A-list celebrity, Andrew Garfield, whose enlightened view of the illuminated manuscripts was they are, “Kind of dope”.
In Vietnam, Tarot has recently gained popularity as a form of "spiritual therapy". The Tarot community in Vietnam is predominantly made up of young people, including students and professionals, who seek spiritual comfort through these readings. Questions frequently asked during readings include, "Will I marry a wealthy partner?" or "What will my job be like?" The article says the trend reflects a desire for reassurance in an unpredictable world.
Elle Pratt of, The Gonzaga Bulletin says, "Astrology can be surprisingly accurate, and not just in a cosmic coincidence kind of way." It’s because astrology has been serving cosmic tea long before it was cool. Zodiacs are a fun way to explore human connection and understanding. Pratt further adds, "Next time you catch yourself swiping through horoscopes or debating star sign compatibility, remember this: astrology’s value isn’t in its cosmic accuracy but in the way it makes you feel and connect with others. It’s a playful, introspective tool in a world that could use a little more wonder and a little less skepticism."
An author on the blogging site Medium, Haje Jan Kamps has written an article where he describes creating an ChatGPT based tool that does tarot readings. He says,

Russia should criminalise occult practices and imprison tarot readers and numerologists as extremists, its MPs have said. In an interview with Spas, a TV channel operated by the Russian Orthodox Church, MP Alexander Spiridonov suggested that individuals who "cast curses" could be held criminally liable, equating it to an attempt to harm another person’s health. Alexander Spiridonov is a deputy representing United Russia, the country’s ruling party.
Similar initiatives have been promoted by other MPs, including Andrey Svintsov, who represents the far-right Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. Svintsov has proposed requiring tarot readers and numerologists to obtain medical licences, suggesting that those without certification would be regarded as "charlatans" and subject to criminal prosecution. According to Argumenty i Fakty, a newspaper owned by the Government of Moscow, the occult market in Russia is rapidly growing, by up to 20% each year, and is now nearing an annual turnover of RUB2 trillion ($21bn). The demand is largely driven by individuals seeking relief from anxiety and uncertainty, often as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, encouraging people to turn to occult practices for guidance. Common clients are women aged 25 to 55, and the industry now rivals more traditional psychological services, the newspaper reported.
