Rahu is the Vedic planet of sensual fulfilment and is often described as a demon that does his best to plunge any area of one's life over which he has control, into chaos. Rahu and Ketu are the North Lunar and South Lunar Nodes, respectively and are also described as the dragon's head and the dragon's tail. Rahu has also been compared to a black hole, which devours anything that enters it's event horizon and which forms a white hole at it's opposite end in space - time, in the same way that Ketu is always placed opposite to Rahu. This affirmation will pacify the malevolent Rahu.
