Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge and learning, she forms a part of the divine trinity of goddesses and is the consort of the Lord, 'Bramha'. Saraswati is worshipped by the planet Mercury. She brings us music, enlightenment and knowledge of the arts and sciences and is depicted as playing the ancient musical instrument called the 'Veena', which is similar to a 'Sitar'.
Affirming her Mantra in the presence of her Yantra, sharpens one's intellect and increases one's power to acquire and retain knowledge.
