An interesting fact about April 2026 is that the Moon will be in the same astrological sign and waxing phase on both the 1st and 30th of the month. This is a rare occurrence that happens once every 19 years, and it is believed to have a significant impact on the energy and events of the month.
It has been said that,
"April 1st is only day people question everything they read on the internet."

News Updates for April 2026
A round-up of breaking news and the most interesting stories from the world of astrology and esotericism.
Instagram astrology creator Natalie, or ‘astronatofficial’ posted a dire theory ahead of strikes against Iran and subsequent retaliatory attacks. In this Instagram post, which has racked up more than six million views, Natalie says “Mars squaring Uranus is a very, very tense, volatile aspect. It’s gonna be aggressive, there’s gonna be conflicts, physically, military, all of that. That’s concentrated around this region.”
In a separate video Natalie warned travellers going to the Middle East, two days before the Iran war started, to avoid the trip if possible for the week saying, “The Middle East is a hotbed for uncertainty this week - those travelling to UAE, Oman and Iran especially - please be careful!”.
The United States-Israel war with Iran has brought a centuries old Nostradamus prophesy back into focus. In his 1555 book ‘Les Prophéties’, the French astrologer wrote of a seven month long, great war. Followers of his prophesies claim that the current Middle East conflict could be that ‘Great War’. A separate prediction by a current day astrocartography expert says planetary alignments involving Mars and Uranus indicate rising global tensions that could bring instability to parts of Central and South Asia.
According to this article in Paris Select, “This year, the stars are being particularly generous to Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. These three fire signs share a common energy that makes them irresistible to others. Their natural charisma will intensify in the early months of 2026.” The article says that planetary configurations are due to change after the summer season, altering the love dynamics of the three astrological signs concerned. All three astrological signs are advised to maximise their chances of meeting new people.
According to writer John Mac Ghlionn, the beliefs held by Catholicism are no more, or less incredible than those postulated by astrology. Mac Ghlionn, who considers himself to be Catholic, based this conclusion on some of the miracles that believers of Catholicism are required to accept, such as resurrection and immaculate conception. Mac Ghlionn also says that astrology’s popularity makes it America’s new religion. However, he believes astrology differs from traditional religion in that, “It has never launched a Crusade”, and it won’t threaten you with the fires of hell.
At least in the opinion of the Editor at HIGHXTAR, Mar Piera who believes the resurgence in the popularity of Tarot cards reflects a shift in the way meaning is constructed in a society saturated with information, yet increasingly devoid of certainties. Although we live in an age dominated by predictive algorithms, artificial intelligence and the mass accumulation of data, everyone is obsessed with the Tarot, which Piera says has defied, “Emerging as a relic of the past”, and “Re-established itself in the present as a tool capable of providing answers”.
Piera points out that, “The current interest in the Tarot lies not so much in its supposed ability to predict the future as in its interpretative structure. The cards are capable of organising emotional and cognitive experiences that are often difficult to articulate through conventional language.”
Not to be left behind in the astrology and Tarot market boom of the current times, travel review organisation, ‘Lonely Planet’ has launched its own brand of Tarot deck named ‘Travel Tarot’. The 78-card deck pairs each Tarot archetype with a global destination. Inspired by the classic Rider-Waite Smith deck, The Lonely Planet deck is the creation of astrologer and Tarot expert, Jeff Hinshaw.
Launched on March 11, Netflix's new dating reality show, 'Age of Attraction’ is being advertised as a “Dating experiment” where there’s only one question participants can’t ask, “How old are you?” However, what they don’t need to ask is what’s your zodiac sign, because this is prominently quoted in each contestant’s profile. According to Netflix, “With a high number of Leo men this inaugural season, expect plenty of charisma and a flair for the dramatic.”
Rebecca Auman (60) is a self declared “Head Witch”, who may or may not straddle a broom, but who does maintain a profile on LinkedIn. Witch Auman spoke to WUNC News, explaining that as the daughter of a North Carolina Methodist minister, witchcraft does not run in the family. Rebecca said for her, the word witch simply means, “A powerful woman.” Reactions from Dorothy and Toto are awaited.
Mother of Ghost or 'Lady MOG', offers Tarot readings that she claims, “Help you recognize your own intuition and listen to the message from the Universe.” Going against the advice of a marketing firm and career coach, MoG forged her own path to set up her Tarot reading service in Peculiar, Missouri, USA. In addition to readings, she also teaches the Tarot.
