The investment tracking organisation, Match Group has reported that Tinder has shown growth in their new user registrations for the first time since 2024. The 1% rise in March is partly fuelled by the launch of ‘Astrology Mode’, AI-powered tools, and face verification. While monthly active users still fell by 7%, the decline slowed in comparison to last year’s 10% drop. Tinder CEO Spencer Rascoff, said the company aims to become an AI-native business, with marketing and new features reshaping Tinder’s image as a fun and safe way to meet.

A recent regional election in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu saw the appointment of Radhan Pandit Vettrivel as Officer on Special Duty to the newly elected Chief Minister, C. Joseph Vijay. However, criticism from political allies and opponents led to Mr. Vettrivel being removed from the high powered post, just a day after receiving the appointment.
Vettrivel is a prominent spiritual mentor in Tamil Nadu, who correctly predicted Vijay’s victory well before the elections.
