News Updates for March 2026
A round-up of breaking news and the most interesting stories from the world of astrology and esotericism.
Renowned tech site, Tom's Hardware recently covered the new launched ‘scx_horoscope scheduler’, a GitHub project that “Makes CPU scheduling decisions based on real-time planetary positions, zodiac signs, and astrological principles”, notes its creator, Lucas Zampieri. So, for example, if you're a Gemini, your CPU tasks will run 50% slower than normal, if you're working on your computer on April 10, 2026.
Zampieri says developing sched_ext was no easy task, “I must confess that the astrological scheduling rules, which weigh the complex mix of planetary domains, the zodiac, element effects, retrograde effects, and more, to balance the priorities of your CPU, networking, system, and memory tasks, are hard to fathom.”
Talking to US news channel KTLA 5, legal expert Triessl was of the opinion that it isn’t illegal for a landlord to ask a potential renter's astrological sign. The quirky question came up as a landlord in Los Angeles wants to know the zodiac signs of possible tenants before renting out his accommodation. The landlord confessed he does favour some signs, but doesn’t discriminate against tenants with signs he does not approve of. Triessl said the practice may be arbitrary, but doesn’t break local laws.

Astrologer, Aliza Kelly told E! News that a "Deeply unprecedented" astrological event is going to shake everything up. The major moment will arrive on Feb. 20 when Saturn and Neptune meet at zero degrees of Aries for the first time in roughly 9,000 years. This angle is particularly noteworthy, as it marks the "Beginning of the zodiac." Kelly clarified that, "Astrologers refer to it as sort of the beginning of all creation. It's the beginning of the world. What we know is that anything that happens at zero degrees is an initiation. It is a massive touch point. It's an ignition point." Some major changes are in store as a result of this conjunction. With Saturn's focus on "big responsibilities" and Neptune known for representing "our collective belief system". Kelly further explained that "We may anticipate to see some huge shifts in the world access, in the belief systems, in the ideas around what exists and what doesn't exist, and changes within those infrastructures and within that architecture."
According to Aycee Brown, writing in BookTrib, “If I had to describe the energy of this year in one sentence, it would be this: know the facts of what’s happening, but don’t let those facts paralyze you.” Brown also says that Neptune entering Aries on January 26, and a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries on February 20, “Will change everything”. She suggests that in 2026 we all ask ourselves, “What do I want to be true for me?”
Brown recently authored the book, 'Embody Your Magic', which is due for launch on February 17. She said the book is “About actually becoming the person the stars keep pointing you toward.”
UK psychic, Claire Stone (44) a.k.a., 'The White Witch of Cheshire' is Tarot reader to reality TV shows, The Real Housewives Of Cheshire (yes, that is a thing), and Love Island.
Stone recently provided this psychic advice for all the single ladies looking to attract love on Valentine's Day, “You need to reprogramme your mind by saying things to yourself like, ‘I am loveable’, ‘I am worthy of love’, ‘my perfect partner is on the way to me’, and ‘I can’t wait to meet this person’”. Adding that statements like “All men are bastards”, were not helpful in this context.
Details about Stone’s childhood include her grandmother being cautioned by a local vicar about her granddaughter’s abilities being, “The devil in disguise”. Well, Vicar, the joke’s on you because not only is Stone a published author, but her achievements include, “Doing past-life readings on dogs”.
Astrologer Richard James says that the timing of the Brooklyn Beckham family drama is no coincidence. James is of the opinion that the January 16, IG stories posted by Brooklyn about his family troubles, were on account of “Pluto and Venus conjuncted his Neptune in his fourth house of family… Brooklyn had a lot to dissolve when it came to the emotional dynamics of his family.”
James also says that “As a Libra-rising who seeks balance and autonomy, Brooklyn stands in opposition to mom Victoria Beckham's chart.”
In a video on TMZ, astrologer Richard James says Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton may have “Instant chemistry”, but just because they look good together, doesn't mean they’ll stand the test of time. “Kim's Libra sign and Lewis' Capricorn just won't last. Their visions for their futures don't mix”.
According to the National Geographic, “Astrocartography is rising in popularity, as more and more people are turning to it to help them figure out their future travel plans.” National Geographic describes the practice of astrocartography as “A niche branch of astrology that maps planetary positions on to the globe based on a person’s birth chart. It is increasingly shaping how people choose destinations, from weekend getaways to life-changing relocations.” They cite the example of travel group ‘Royal Caribbean’ who have partnered with an astrologer to, “Encourage [holiday makers] to use astrocartography as part of their pre-trip planning to select destinations that they connect with”. According to one satisfied customer, “I had spent a chunk of time in Miami for work shortly before my reading and remembered coming back and telling everyone how wonderful I felt over there—infinitely more confident, energized, and magnetic—and was feeling drawn to go back and spend more time there”.
Booking.com has partnered with Esperanza Gracia, Spain’s most recognisable astrologer, to recommend 2026 travel destinations, based on travellers’ zodiac signs.
Announced on January 21, 2026, the campaign is rooted in Booking.com’s Travel Predictions 2026 report.
The data cited focuses on Spanish travellers of which 41% say they would consider changing or cancelling a trip based on advice from a spiritual guide, while 38% would rethink plans following a horoscope warning.
The initiative positions astrology as a way to decide not just where to travel, but when and why, pairing each zodiac sign with destination types and locations. The campaign also ties into broader 2026 themes, including shorter, more intentional trips, interest in less conventional destinations, and travel linked to celestial events, notably the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, visible from Spain for the first time in nearly a century.
ChicagoNOW news channel interviewed professional Tarot reader Marina Smargiannakis who said that Tarot is becoming more mainstream because people are looking for hope and support in uncertain times. She also said that Tarot is a “Wonderful guide”, but predictions do change over time, because people exercise free will. The news presenter conducting the interview confessed she’s had a great experience with Tarot card readings. Smargiannakis had advice on how to get a reliable reading.
