According to Youtube influencer Kim Komando, asking ChatGPT to cast your horoscope and make short-term predictions is the latest trend on social media. Komando says four-in-ten Gen Zers do this on a regular basis and 50% consider the predictions to be accurate. However, when Komando tried it out for herself, the response was decidedly underwhelming. It appears that those 50% of Gen Zers obviously haven’t ever had a astrology prediction.
Speaking to Türkiye Daily, Professor Ekrem Bugra Ekinci said during the times of the Ottoman empire, astrological factors were taken into consideration before travel, marriage, trade partnerships, military campaigns, or diplomatic agreements. Ekinci explained that under the influence of Iranian and Indian traditions, people across Eastern court culture often looked into whether a day or hour was auspicious before taking major steps. This practice was known as 'esref saat', meaning an auspicious hour. In that sense, astrology was not necessarily used as a formal science of prediction but as part of a broader cultural habit tied to timing and ritual.
The professor did draw a clear line between astronomy and astrology, describing astronomy as the study of the movements of stars, celestial bodies, and the heavens; in other words, a positive science based on observation. Astrology, by contrast, was defined as concluding the unseen or the future from those movements.
Roland Orzabal, founding member of the fairly successful 80s pop band, Tears for Fears has written his autobiography titled, ‘Welcome To Your Life: Love, Death, And Tears For Fears’. Due for launch on August 4, the book is billed as an “astrological memoir”.
A ‘Tears for Fears’ Instagram post about the book on April 8 said, “Roland uses astrology, a lifelong passion, as narrative tool to underpin the storytelling, teaching readers the power of the stars and how his life has been moved by where he was in his astrological chart”.

In an interview to MTV UK, American actor Noah Wyle, famous for his role on NBC’s ER, described himself as “An astrology girlie”. In the interview, Wyle said he was a Gemini and aligned closely to Gemini characteristics.
According to astrologer Galit Raiman, a Saturn-Neptune conjunction since February, may be the cause of certain emotional or life situations that may be connected to karmic patterns that are resurfacing so that individuals can finally understand them, heal them, and move forward. In a post on Instagram, Raiman said “Neptune brings the vision, the dream, the feeling of what is possible. Saturn steps in and asks you to take it seriously, to give it shape, to commit to it in a real way.”
While explaining the relationship between planets, numerology and gemstones, Indian numerologist Biindu Khuraana expressed the opinion that, “These gemstones are often considered as triggering the nerve of the finger they are worn on, giving benefits for the purpose they are chosen for”. Khuraana added that, “There are foundational rules governing how a gemstone should be worn to be effective. It must touch the skin.” She also said that, “The science of gemstones, which is called gemology, is an ancient science coming to us from the Rigveda”. The Rigveda being an ancient Hindu text containing a wealth of knowledge about spirituality.
Professional astrologer Heidi Rose Robbins spoke to US news channel KTLA about the astrological new year. Robbins had advice for each sign from Aries to Pisces. She also recommended that as the astrological new year began with an Aries new moon, people should use this energy to take action and try something new.

Writing in the travel section of the BBC website, journalist Sarah Holt said she was advised by astrocartography expert Helena Woods to make a trip to the Greek Islands.
According to Holt, astrocartography was developed in the 1970s, but is currently gaining in popularity. Holt cites Google Trends data that shows an increase in search interest in astrocartography over the past year. She also says, “In 2025 cruise line Royal Caribbean enlisted a professional astrocartographer to help customers choose itineraries”, and “In January, Lonely Planet launched a travel-themed tarot deck aimed at readers looking for more intentional journeys.”
